SAIL recruitment 2022: Fresh vacancy of over 140 posts announced, check details

The Steel Authority of India Limited, SAIL Bokaro has released another recruitment notification inviting applications from candidates to apply for Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee posts. 

Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website of SAIL- sailcareers.com. Through the recruitment drive, SAIL is expected to fill up as many as 146 posts.

While the registration process for the SAIL jobs began on Thursday (August 25), the last date of the application submission is September 15, 2022. Candidates should apply ahead of the deadline to avoid the last-hour rush.

SAIL recruitment 2022: Upper Age Limit (as on 15/09/2022): The maximum age to apply for the Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) positions is 28 years. 

There is age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category by 05 years and 03 years for candidates belonging to OBC (Non-creamy layer) category respectively with respect to posts reserved for them. Additional relaxation of 10 years in age to Persons with Disabilities. 

Essential Qualification (as on 15/09/2022): Matriculation and completion of apprenticeship training of minimum one-year duration in designated trade from an integrated steel plant and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates for the above posts will be required to appear in Computer Based examination. The minimum qualifying marks in Computer Based examination will be determined based on 50 percentile score (for UR Category) and 40 percentile score (for SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL) & PWD candidates. 

Candidates who qualify in the Compute Based examination will be called for Skill Test / Trade Test in the ratio of 1:3. Skill Test / Trade Test will be only qualifying in nature and the final merit list of candidates who qualify the Skill Test / Trade Test will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Compute Based examination only.

The test will comprise a total of 100 questions which are to be attempted in 90 mins. Candidates with benchmark disabilities who are eligible for availing the facility of scribe will be allowed 30 mins compensatory time whether they use the facility of scribe or not.

The written test for the different posts will be 100 marks and constitute questions on General Awareness (40 Questions), Logical Reasoning (30 Questions) and Quantitative Aptitude (30 Questions).

How to Apply: Candidates would be required to apply online through the official website of Sail, www.sail.co.in (Careers with sail). No other means/mode of application will be accepted by the organisation.
