The Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL) is inviting applications from qualified doctors in medical disciplines for recruitment to the posts of GDMO and specialists on contractual basis.
The doctors will be engaged in the 600 bedded multi-specialty hospital of Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), a unit of SAIL. Interested candidates will have to appear for walk-in-interview to take part in the recruitment drive.

Essential Qualification:
GDMO- MBBS
Specialist- MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma in the Speciality
Upper Age Limit: 69 years as on date of advertisement.
Tenure of Engagement:
The initial tenure of contractual engagement of doctors would be for a period of 01 year from the date of joining, which can be further extended for a period upto one year. The maximum period for engagement under the same contract would not be more than three years. There will be no bar on re-engagement. However, the tenure of engagement shall be subject to the upper age limit of 70 years.
Remuneration:
GDMO will draw a salary of Rs 70,000 per month while specialist (MBBS with PG Degree in the Speciality) will get Rs 1,20,000 and specialist (MBBS with PG Diploma in the speciality) Rs 90,000.
Selection Process:
Selection of the candidates will be done through walk-in-interview. However, an advance copy of filled-in application in the prescribed format may be sent to dspintake@saildsp.co.in with the subject line as “Engagement of Doctors in Medical Disciplines on Contract Basis at DSP” latest by February 8, 2022 (within 5 pm).
Schedule for Interview:
The walk-in-interview will be held between 9 and 11 February, 2022 at the Office of ED(M&HS), DSP Main Hospital Durgapur- 713205, Paschim Bardhaman.
