RRC Central Railway opens applications for 2,418 Apprentice posts; check details here

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has invited online applications for Apprentice posts, with a total of 2,418 vacancies available. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website of RRC Central Railway at rrccr.com.

The registration process is already underway and will remain open until September 11, 2025. Applicants are advised to check the detailed notification on the official website to confirm their eligibility before applying.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have passed the Class 10 examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 system) with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board. In addition, they should hold a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or a Provisional Certificate issued by NCVT/State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 15 and 24 years of age as of August 12, 2025. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given as per government norms – five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from the marks obtained in matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate) combined with ITI marks in the relevant trade. The merit list will be drawn up on the basis of the simple average of marks in both examinations.

Application Fee

An application fee of Rs 100 is applicable, payable through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or wallet payment. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, persons with benchmark disabilities, and women candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
