The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) invites online application window for the recruitment of Technician Grade-I Signal and various Technician Grade-III posts for the year 2025.
Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications at rrbapply.gov.in. A total of 6,238 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.
Out of the total vacancies, 183 are for the post of Technician Grade-I Signal, which falls under Level 5 of the pay scale and offers a monthly salary of Rs 29,200. The remaining 6,055 vacancies are for Technician Grade-III, a Level 2 post with a monthly salary of Rs 19,900.
RRB Technician Recruitment Important Dates
Candidates are required to submit their applications on or before July 28, 2025. The deadline for payment of the application fee is July 30, 2025.
Additionally, an application correction window will be available from August 1 to August 10, 2025 for making any necessary changes.
Applicants for the Technician Grade-I Signal post must be at least 18 years old and not older than 33 years as of July 1, 2025.
For the Technician Grade-III post, the age requirement is between 18 and 30 years.
Relaxations in the upper age limit will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories, as per existing government norms.
The application fee for candidates not belonging to any reserved category is Rs 500. Out of this, Rs 400 will be refunded after deducting bank charges if the candidate appears for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Female, Transgender, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class (EBC) categories, the fee is Rs 250. This amount will be refunded (after deducting bank charges) upon appearing for the CBT.
The selection process consists of two stages: a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by document verification. The CBT will be conducted separately for both Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III categories.
The CBT will last for 90 minutes, during which candidates will be required to answer 100 questions. There will be a negative marking of ⅓ mark for each incorrect response.
