The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced recruitment for the posts of Sub-Inspector and Constable in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF).

The application process is likely to commence tomorrow and the last date to submit the application form is May 14, 2024.

RPF Recruitment Details

Total Vacancy: 4660 posts

  • Sub-Inspector: 452 posts

  • Constable: 4208 posts

Educational Qualification

To be eligible to apply for the post, candidate must have passed Class 10th/Class 12th/Graduation from recognized Board/Institute/University.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for the post of Constable is 18 years and for the post of Sub-Inspector, it is 20 years. However, the age of candidate must not surpass 28 years as on July 1, 2024.

Pay Scale

  • Sub-Inspector: Rs 35,400

  • Constable: Rs 21,700

Selection Process

The examination comprises a Computer-Based Test (CBT), which is followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurements.

Application Fee

For all candidates, an initial fee of Rs 500 is required, with Rs 400 refundable after the deduction of applicable bank charges upon completion of the CBT. 

However, candidates falling under categories such as SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class (EBC) are eligible for a reduced fee of Rs 250, similarly refundable after bank charges upon CBT completion.
