Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has come up with yet another notification under the West Central Railway (WCR) for the recruitment of candidates in Group C posts.

The WCR has sought online applications from eligible sportspersons for recruitment in various Levels as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

Applications can be sent for various sports disciplines like- Athletics (W), Cross Country (W), Weightlifting (M), Volleyball (M), Hockey (M), Cricket (M), Basketball (M), Badminton (M), Badminton (W), and Chess (M).

"There is no reservation for SC, ST and OBC, being a Sub-quota. However the candidates claiming to belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC communities are required to upload Self Attested photocopy of Caste Certificate issued by Competent Authority," read the official notification.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years on 01/01/2022. Candidates born between 02/01/1997 and 01/01/2004 are eligible to apply. There is no age relaxation.

Only those sportspersons who have acquired the sports achievement eligibility norms in the championships on or after 01/04/2019 and are active will be eligible to apply for appointment against the sports quota. For validity of sports achievement, concluding day of the championship/event shall be taken into account.

Examination Fee: Candidates will have to pay Rs 500 as examination fee while those applying under SC/ ST/ Ex servicemen/ Women/ Minorities and Economic Backward Classes need to shell out Rs 250.

Document to be uploaded by candidates along with their application form:

-Passport size colour photograph
- Signature
-Self attested copy of Aadhar Card
-Self attested copy of 10th certificate in proof of Date of Birth
-Self attested copy of certificate in proof of academic qualification 
-Self attested copy of certificate in proof of Sports achievement issued by concerned
Federation/Association/Board
-Self attested copy of Fee exemption certificate i.e. SC/ST/EBC/Minorities certificate etc
