Railway recruitment 2024: RRB announces over 5000 Asst Loco Pilot posts, check key details

The registration process for RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 is set to commence today, and interested candidates looking to apply for the Assistant Loco Pilot position can do so through the official website of Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). 

The application window will remain open until February 19, 2024, marking the deadline for submission.

Total Vacancy: 5696 posts

Age Limit

Applicants within the age bracket of 18 to 30 years as of July 1, 2024, are eligible to apply for the Assistant Loco Pilot position. Reserved category candidates are granted relaxation in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the post must possess either of the following qualifications:

Matriculation/SSLC along with an ITI certificate from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic.

OR

Matriculation/SSLC along with the completion of a course in act apprenticeship in the trades specified in the Detailed Notification, which will be released on January 20.

OR

Matriculation/SSLC plus a three-year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering or a combination of various streams of these engineering disciplines from a recognized institution, in lieu of ITI.

Selection Process

The recruitment process comprises five stages: the initial stage of Computer Based Test (CBT 1), followed by the second stage (CBT 2), the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification (DV), and concluding with the Medical Examination (ME).
