Railway Recruitment 2022: Fresh Vacancies Announced, Check Interview Date And More

The Central Railway has invited applications for the positions of Contract Medical Practitioner (CMP) on contract basis. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions before June 17, 2022.

In terms of Railway Board's letter No. 2020/E(GR)II/COVID-19/WFH/1 dated 19/01/2022 the scheme for engagement of CMPs is extended up to 30.06.2022. Online recorded WhatsApp video call interviews will be held to engage the CMPs from open market on full time contract basis who fulfill the eligibility criteria up to 30.06.2022 or till the pandemic of Covid-19 continues whichever is earlier with the same terms as contained in Board's letters cited above, read the official notification.

The official notice further read, "Preference will be given to those, who can join the Divisional Railway Hospital, Kalyan, immediately. The Notification is valid till 17.06.2022 up to 18.00 hours. Candidates may send their applications on the following mail ID: pgazbb@gmail.com along with scanned copies of the documents/ certificates up to 17.06.2022 18.00 hours."

Railway Recruitment 2022: Important to Note

- Contract can be terminated by the Railway at any time during the contract period by giving 15 days notice without assigning any reason. Retired Doctors (CMPs) who enter into contract with the Railway will not have any claim or right for his/her continuity in service or automatic extension of the term of contract.

- Services rendered as full-time contract Doctors will not have any bearing in respect of considering of their period in regular selection through UPSC, nor will it confer any right for regularization or absorption. The vacancy is provisional and may increase or decrease as per administrative necessity.

- There may be 'wait-listed/ stand-by' candidates against the notified panel/ select list who may be engaged as per necessity.

- The engagement of contract Medical Practitioner would be on full-time contract basis for a period upto 30.06.2022 only from the date of joining.

- Doctors will be utilised in Quarantine, isolation centres and any other unit depending on the local requirement for handling COVID- 19 pandemic.

- Daily rate of deduction from the pay, for absence will be made on pro-rata basis.
