Railway recruitment 2022: Big vacancy of over 1000 posts announced, know details

The South East Central Railway (SECR) has announced engagement for Act Apprenticeship under Apprentices Act-1961 and Apprenticeship Rules-1962 in SECR Raipur and Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur for the year 2022-23.

"Online applications through the website: https://apprenticeshioindia.org from 25.04.2022 to 24.05.2022(till night 24.00 hrs) are invited from the eligible candidates for engagement as Trade Apprentices under Apprentices Act-1961 in Raipur Division & Wagon Repair Shop/ Raipur of SECR...," the official notification read.

Candidates can apply for the railway recruitment for a vacancy of over 1033 posts- DRM Office, Raipur Division (696), Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur (337).

Educational qualification/ Technical Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks. Must have passed ITI course in relevant trade from a recognised institution. 

Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01.07.2022. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST candidates, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for Ex-Servicemen and PWD.

Period of Apprentice training and Stipend: Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices and they will undergo apprenticeship training for a period of one year for each trade. 

They will be paid stipend during their training as per the rules of the State Government of Chhattisgarh. Their training will be terminated after the completion of their apprenticeship. 

Criteria for preparing merit list in the selection: Taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weight age to both (Railway Establishment Rule 201/ 2017).
