PGIMER recruitment 2023: Apply for 147 Senior Residents, Senior Medical Officer and other posts

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh has announced openings for Senior Residents and other positions, inviting applications from qualified candidates. 

To apply, eligible candidates should visit the official PGIMER website at pgimer.edu.in. 

The registration process started on October 25 and will conclude on November 14.

Total Vacancy: 147 posts

For PGIMER, Chandigarh

• Senior Residents (POST CODE-SR/023): 119 posts

• Senior Medical Officer (POST CODE-SMO/024): 2 posts

• Junior/Senior Demonstrator (POST CODE-JSD/025): 13 posts

For PGI Satellite Centre, Sangrur, Punjab

• Senior Residents (POST CODE-SR/023)/ Senior Medical Officer (POST CODE-SMO/024): 13 posts

Educational Qualification

Candidates are required to possess a MA, MSc, MD, or MS degree from a recognised university or institution.

Age Limit

The age of candidates must not have surpassed 45 years as on crucial date. 

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: Up to 5 years

• OBC: Up to 3 years

• PwBD: Up to 10 years

• PwBD + SC/ST: Up to 15 years

• PwBD + OBC: Up to 13 years

• Central Govt. Civilian Employees: Varies based on years of service: General/Unreserved: Up to 5 years, OBC: Up to 8 years and SC/ST: Up to 10 years 

• Ex-Serviceman: Up to 5 years

Pay Scale

• Senior Resident and Senior Medical Officer: Level-11 in the Pay Matrix, with a minimum of Rs 67,700, plus NPA

• Senior Demonstrator (Medical): Level-11 in the Pay Matrix, with a minimum of Rs 67,700, plus NPA

• Senior Demonstrator (Non-Medical): Level-10 in the Pay Matrix, with a minimum of Rs 56,100

• Junior Demonstrator (Medical): Level-06 in the Pay Matrix, with a minimum of Rs 35,400, plus NPA

• Junior Demonstrator (Non-Medical): Level-06 in the Pay Matrix, with a minimum of Rs 35,400

Application Fee

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Fee exemption

• SC/ST category: Fee of Rs. 800, along with applicable transaction charges

• All other categories, including General, OBC, and EWS: Fee of Rs. 1500, plus applicable transaction charges
