Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has released an official recruitment notification for the posts of Diploma Trainee (Electrical) – DTE, Diploma Trainee (Civil) - DTC, Junior Officer Trainee (HR) – JOT (HR), Junior Officer Trainee (F&A) – JOT (F&A) and Assistant Trainee (F&A) – Asst. Tr. (F&A).

DTE: Applicants are required to possess a full time 3 years diploma in relevant Engineering discipline - Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical) form a recognised institute or technical board. The minimum percentage required for General/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS candidates to be eligible is 70%, whereas only passing marks is required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
DTC: Aspirants should have a 3 years diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised technical board/ institute. Candidates belonging to the categories of General/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS are required to have passed with 70%, whereas only passing marks is required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
For the above mentioned posts, higher technical qualification like B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME etc, with or without Diploma will not be allowed.
JOT (HR): Candidates applying for this post should possess a 3 year graduation degree in BBA/ BBM/ BBS or equivalent qualification from a recognised institute or university with a minimum of 60% marks for General/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS aspirants. Candidates with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent higher education qualification shall not be allowed to apply for this post.
JOT (F&A): Contenders should have passed Inter CA/ Inter CMA. Candidates with Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ CA/ CMA or equivalent higher education qualification shall not be allowed to apply for this post.
The maximum age limit for applying for the mention job roles is 27 years as of November 12, 2024. The upper age limit relaxation for the reserved category candidates will be followed as per the guidelines of Government of India.
Candidates applying for the roles of DTE/ DTC will be required to undergo a written test which may be conducted in CBT mode. However, candidates applying for the role of JOT- (HR)/(F&A) Asst. Tr. (F&A) will need to undergo a written test followed by Computer Skill Test.
Candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs 200 for the Post of Asst. Tr. (F&A). However, aspirants applying for the post of DTE/DTC/ JOT (HR)/ JOT (F&A) are required to pay an amount of Rs 300.
