The Governor of Odisha has given the nod for the creation of several posts for the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department.

In a letter to the Principal Accountant General (A&E), the Additional Secretary to Odisha government, Prakash Chandra Mohanty directed for the creation of 120 teaching and 50 non-teaching posts.

Apart from this, a total of eight posts of Accountant, Assistant and Head Clerk will also be created. 

The fixation of pay of these posts will be in different levels under the Odisha Revised Scale of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017.

However, creation of these posts is subjected to the necessary approval of the Government of India for the opening of 15 PG Departments in Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research at the Capital Hospital, read an official release.

As per the release, the newly created posts shall be filled up following the relevant recruitment rule and provision of ORV Act. 

The release read: "The base level Group 'B' posts covered under GA Department recruitment rules vide Notification no.1147/Gen dated 17.01.2014 read with Notification No 4587/Gen dated 15.02.2014 shall be filled up on contractual basis initially as per the stipulations contained in the said notifications following the relevant recruitment rules and provisions of ORV Act. Their remuneration shall be governed by G.A. Department notification no.19569/Gen., dated 12.09.2017. 

The base level Group 'C' posts shall be filled up initially on contractual basis in terms of stipulations contained in G.A. Department Notification No.32010/Gen dated 12,11.2013, following the relevant recruitment rules and provisions of ORV Act. Their remuneration shall be governed by G.A. Department notification no.19574/Gen., dated 12.09.2017."

Odisha government is likely to start PG courses in as many as 15 departments at the Post Graduate Institute of Capital Hospital from the 2022-23 academic year.
