All preparations have been completed for the smooth conduct of the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2021 for Phase 2 examination which will be held across Odisha on Wednesday (tomorrow).

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha on Tuesday said that the OSSTET will be held in 338 exam centres across the State. The examination will be conducted with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols.

BSE officials said that the candidates caught for indulging in malpractice (cheating) will be debarred from appearing OSSTET. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the exam centres by candidates as well as other staff to be engaged for the conduct of the exam.

Around 72, 280 candidates are scheduled to appear for the OSSTET, 2021 for Phase 2 examination tomorrow.

BSE President, Ramashish Hazra said all the candidates will be checked with thermal scanner and provision for hand sanitiser and other measures have been made available at every examination centre. Provision of isolation room has also been made for any emergency situation, he said.

As per the schedule, the OSSTET will be conducted in two shifts tomorrow. The first sitting exam will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am and the second sitting will start from 1 pm and conclude at 3:30 pm.

As many as 68, 742 candidates are scheduled to appear in the paper 1 (first sitting) and 3538 candidates in paper II (second sitting), BSE officials said.

A control room has been opened at the BSE Head Office in Cuttack to monitor the conduct of the Examination. The question papers will be despatched from the 40 nodal centres and will reach the concerned exam centre by 8 am tomorrow.
