The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has revised the schedule of the written test to be conducted for recruitment to 4070 district cadre posts of nursing officer. 

In its latest notice, the OSSSC said the written test which was earlier scheduled to be held on October 16 will now be held on October 30.

“The Commission has been pleased to decide that the Written Test for the post of Nursing Officer-2022 will be held in the approved examination centres of all the districts on 30.10.2022 (Sunday) instead of 16.10.2022,” the notice read. 

As per the programme, the written test will be conducted from 11am to 1pm (2 hours duration) on October 30.  

“The admission letters will be available in the website of the Commission www.osssc.gov.in before 15 days of the date of examination, which may be downloaded by the candidates by using their User ID and password to appear the examination. No hard-copy of Admission letter will be sent to any candidate by post,” the Commission said.

“Candidates may visit the website of the Commission regularly for updates,” it added. 

Plan of Examination: 

There shall be a Written Examination for 100 marks (MCQ type in OMR system) in one paper only.

Subjects of Written Test- 

Questions on subjects as per syllabus of GNM/B.Sc. Nursing Course (60 questions, 60 marks)
Questions based on practical skills (25 questions, 25 marks)
Arithmetic (HSC Standard) (10 questions, 10 marks) 
English (HSC Standard) (5 questions, 5 marks) Total 100 marks.

The minimum qualifying marks for SC, ST, PwD, Ex-serviceman and Sportsperson category of candidates shall be 30% and for other candidates, it shall be 35%.
