The Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has announced the date of the much-awaited written test to be conducted for recruitment to 4070 district cadre posts of nursing officer. 

As per the notification dated July 14, the written test for the post of Nursing Officer-2022 will be held on 16 October 2022 (Sunday) from 11 am to 1 pm (2 hours duration). The test will be conducted in examination centres of all districts. 

The OSSSC said the Admission letters will be available on the website of the Commission www.osssc.clov.in before 15 days of the date of examination, which may be downloaded by the candidates by using their User ID and Password to appear the examination. 

“No hard-copy of Admission letter will be sent to any candidate by post. Candidates may visit the website of the Commission regularly for updates,” the OSSSC added. 

As per the official advertisement, the nursing officers will be engaged in all 30 district establishments and 13 medical college and hospitals under health and family welfare department of Odisha government. 

Plan of Examination: 

There shall be a Written Examination for 100 marks (MCQ type in OMR system) in one paper only.

Subjects of Written Test- 

Questions on subjects as per syllabus of GNM/B.Sc. Nursing Course (60 questions, 60 marks)
Questions based on practical skills (25 questions, 25 marks)
Arithmetic (HSC Standard) (10 questions, 10 marks) 
English (HSC Standard) (5 questions, 5 marks) Total 100 marks.

The minimum qualifying marks for SC, ST, PwD, Ex-serviceman and Sportsperson category of candidates shall be 30% and for other candidates it shall be 35%.
