The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has announced the date for the conduct of physical test for the Combined Recruitment Examination-2021 Group C posts. 

As per the official notice, the physical test comprising Physical Standard Measurement (PSM) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the post of Excise Constable and Forest Guard will be taken up from July 26, 2022 (Tuesday) onwards in all the districts.

"The details of the schedule of events and venue will be available in the Admission Letter before seven days of the Physical Test. The candidates who are interested for the posts of Excise Constable and Forest Guard are required to appear the Physical Test positively," the official notice read.

The OSSSC stated that those who do not appear for the physical test will not be considered for the excise constable and forest guard posts. 

The OSSSC, through the Combined Recruitment Examination, will fill up 2841 Group C posts including 529 posts of Statistical Field Surveyor, 576 Assistant Revenue Inspectors (ARI), 538 Amin, 806 Forest Guard and 392 Excise Constable.

"Candidates who are not interested for the posts of Excise Constable and Forest Guard, they need not appear in the Physical Test. They will be considered for the other three posts, i.e. Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI), Amin and Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS) on the basis of the marks secured/awarded in written test," the Commission said.

"The candidates may download the Admission Letters by logging in the Commission's web portal with their User ID and Password to appear the Physical Test. No hardcopy of Admission Letter will be sent to any candidate by post," the Commission added.
