OSSC website is down, disruption leaves job aspirants in the lurch

Job aspirants wishing to apply for various vacancies announced by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) are reportedly facing inconvenience due to disruption in the online application process caused by technical issues.

As per sources, the official website of the commission, www.ossc.gov.in, has reportedly gone down, much to the inconvenience of applicants. Several candidates have complained about slow loading of pages and errors on the website over past couple of days.

Taking to Twitter, an applicant wrote, “Sir. The OSSC website server is not opening since last 3 days it's down not able to apply for CGL. Please resolve this issue asap or extend the date. It's humble appeal to you. We are suffering alot due to such technical issues.”

“Applying for Combined Technical Services Requirement Examination (6506-2022), but facing same problem in updating Qualification Details. Even after updating my degree, it's again asking to enter degree with different disciplines and not allowing to submit,” wrote another aspirant. 

Earlier, the OSSC announced extension of deadline of the application process in view of the disruption caused by technical issues. 

Complaining against the technical glitches, a Twitter user wrote, “My nephew Bikash Sahu is not able to apply OSSC CGLRE 2022 appl.Technical Error of Last year Appln in home ID "Bikashtxz123". It is to be deleted first, then only able to apply. More than 8 emails, 256 calls to OSSC, talked to 7 officers but no gain.pls help Sir.”

An aspirant who applied for the post of Welfare Extension Officer also raised concerns over the problems on the website. “Last 2days helani weo ra admit card download heuni ,midnight time re try karile v download heuni..exam pai  padhibu na download karibaku site open kariki basibu #Ossc (Unable to download admit card for WEO exam even in the midnight. Will we waste time in downloading the admit card or prepare for the exam?),” complained the applicant.
