The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) on Wednesday announced revision in the timing of the main written examination for the post of sub-inspector of excise. 

The main written examination for the post of Sub Inspector of Excise-2019 will be held from December 6 to 8 through Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) mode at different examination centres across the State.

As per the revised programme, Paper I (Composite paper) comprising subjects like General English, Odia Language and General Studies will be held in three sessions on December 6, 7 and 8. Earlier, Paper I was scheduled to be held in one session from 9.30 am to 11 am.

Now, the first session will be conducted from 9.30 am to 11 am, the second session from 12.30 pm to 2 pm and the third session from 3.30 pm to 5 pm. 

The Commission has also uploaded the admit cards for the candidates on its official website- www.ossc.gov.in. 

“Candidates concerned are advised to download their Admission Letter in the link provided in the Home page (What's New) of the website of the Commission www.ossc.gov.in from December 1, 2021 onwards by logging-in their Application No. and Date of Birth to appear the examination in the venue on the date & time mentioned therein,” the Commission stated in its notification. 

“Protocol of COVID-19 like use of sanitizer, social distancing, and wear of three layer mask must be adhered to during examination,” it added. 

The OSSC had released a notification in 2019 for filling up a total number of 34 vacancies of sub-inspector of excise on a contractual basis under Excise Commissioner, Cuttack.
