In a major relief for job aspirants, the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) on Thursday announced rescheduling of the Main Written Examination for the post of Sub Inspector (Traffic)-2021.

The move came after several candidates demanded change of the date of the SI traffic main examination scheduled on August 21, stating that the test falls on the same day as the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) written examination.

Candidates, who were going to appear for both the examinations, had urged the authorities to advance or postpone the examinations to avoid the clash and help them write both the tests.

OTV in a news article dated July 1 had highlighted the plights of the job aspirants who had taken to the Twitter to press for their demands.

Taking into consideration the representations of the candidates, the OSSC today announced that the SI traffic main examination has been rescheduled to September 9 and 10, 2022 due to some unavoidable circumstances.

“The Main Written Examination for the post of Sub Inspector (Traffic)-2021 scheduled to be held on 21.08.2022 is hereby re-scheduled to 09.09.2022 and 10.09.2022 due to some unavoidable circumstances. Candidates are advised to keep constant touch with the Commission's website to know further updates,” the Commission wrote.
