OSSC Recruitment: Apply For Traffic Sub-Inspector Posts Under Odisha State Transport Authority

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released an indicative advertisement for the recruitment of nine posts of Sub-Inspector of (Traffic) as ‘Initial Appointee’ under the State Transport Authority (STA).

Vacancy Details: Out of the total nine vacancies, four posts are for the unreserved category, SEBC (2) (W-nil), SC 1 (W-nil) and ST (W)-2.

As per the notification, the reservation for the Special category candidate (if any) will be indicated in the detailed advertisement.

Scale Of Pay: On selection to the post the candidate will be appointed as Initial Appointee carrying remuneration of Rs. 25300- per month (for 1st year) as per Govt. in G.A. & P.G. Department Notification No. 28626/GEN dated 27.10.2021.

The appointment to the post shall be guided by relevant Recruitment Rule and the Contractual appointment Rules2013 Notified vide GA & PG Dept. Notification No. 1147 /Gen dt.17.01.2014.

Eligibility:

Age: Must not be below 21 years and above 32 years of age as on 01.01.2021 with usual age relaxation as per rules for SC, ST, SEBC, Women, Ex-servicemen and In-service contractual employees. PwD candidates are not eligible for the post

Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the post must have passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any recognised University as on the last date of online application. The candidate must have passed M.E standard/HSC examination with Odia as a language subject.
