The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has invited online applications for recruitment to the post of junior mining officer.

As per the advertisement, 26 posts of junior mining officer will be filled as ‘initial appointees’ under Director of Mines, Odisha.

According to the OSSC website, the online registration will begin on OSSC website from September 28, 2022. The submission of online applications will also begin from the same date while the last date of registration is October 27, 2022.

Only online mode will be applicable for applying for the posts on the official OSSC website. No physical or hard copy of the online application need to be submitted by the candidates.

The consolidated monthly remuneration for first year would be Rs 25,300. The remuneration is subject to revision as per decision of the Odisha government from time to time.

Minimum Educational Qualification:

The candidate must have possessed at least second class diploma certificate in mining engineering from recognised polytechnic/courses in India or any other certificate from any recognised polytechnic or courses or board duly recognised/ approved by AICTE considered equivalent to the diploma in mining engineering.

Diploma in mining engineering (3 years) certificate issued by institution/polytechnic approved by AICTE shall be considered for the post.
