OSSC Recruitment 2022: Odisha to fill over 7500 vacant teacher posts in Govt Secondary Schools

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has invited applications from interested and eligible candidates for recruitment to fill up 7540 vacancies in the post of Regular Teachers for the Government Secondary Schools under Odisha School and Mass Education Department.

NUMBER OF POSTS: The recruitment will fill up 7540 posts, out of which 4054 are reserved for ST candidates, 1006 for SC candidates, 591 for SEBC. The break-up of vacancies has mentioned 1889 posts for Unreserved candidates.

Only online applications will be allowed. The starting date of online registration is December 11, 2022, while the registration will end on January 9, 2023.

AGE LIMIT: Applicant’s age should be between 21 years and 38 years as on January 1, 2022. However, there is age relaxation for SC, ST, SEBC, Women, PwD, Ex-Serviceman candidates.

SCALE OF PAY: The Trained Graduate Trainee (TGT Arts, PCM and CBZ) will receive Rs 35,400 per month in the Level-9 of pay. Hindi teacher, Sanskrit Teacher, Telugu teacher, Urdu teacher will also receive the same scale of pay. The Physical Education Teacher will get Rs 29200 per month in level-8 of pay scale.

EXAM FEES: As per the GA and PG department, the examination fee has been exempted for all categories of candidates.

The official release of the OSSC mentioned that candidates must have requisite qualification for the post on the last date of submission of online application form. Those candidates possessing Academic or Training qualifications from Boards or universities or institutions outside Odisha shall have to produce required documents failing which she or he shall not be considered eligible for selection.

Candidates must possess a valid e-mail ID and mobile number while applying for the post and keep the same active till the completion of this recruitment process, to receive important messages from the Commission.
