The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) on Thursday announced the schedule of the upcoming main written examination for the recruitment of Field Assistant-2019. 

The schedule has been released at a time when there is growing clamour by job aspirants for postponing various recruitment examinations in view of the rapid rise in the number of Covid infections in the State.

As per the notification issued today, the Main Written Examination for the posts of Field Assistant -2019 will be held on January 27, 2022 through Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) at different centres.

While applicants will appear for Paper-I (Composite Paper (Odia,English, Computer Fundamentals, General Studies) from 1 am to 11 am, Paper-II (Technical Paper) is scheduled from 2 pm to 3.30 pm. There will be negative marking (0.25 marks) for each wrong answer in Paper-II only.

Candidates can download their Admission Letter from the official website "www.ossc.gov.in" from January 21, 2022 onwards using their Application No. & Date of Birth.

The PwD candidates who have opted for taking assistance of scribe will have to apply through e-mail orissassc@gmail.com by January 22, 2022 in the prescribed format and also submit the required documents, the Commission said. 

“COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, like use of sanitizer, social distancing, wearing of 3 layer mask must be adhered to during examination,” it added. 

It can be mentioned here that several civil service aspirants today sought the intervention of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to postpone the upcoming Odisha Civil Service (OCS-2020) main examination in view of rising Covid cases in the State. 

The Odisha Civil Services (Main) Examination-2020 is slated to be conducted from January 20, 2022 to February 6, 2022 (Except 26.01.2022 & 05.02.2022).
