The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has published the final results of the recruitment to the posts of Inspector of Legal Metrology and Laboratory Assistant-2017.

A total of 14 candidates have been selected for the posts. The list of the provisionally selected candidates has been uploaded on the official website of the Commission-www.ossc.gov.in. 

As per the Commission, the provisional list has been prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the main written examination and subsequent certificate verification. 

The commission clarified that ‘inclusion of any name in the list however does not confer any right to appointment unless and until specific appointment order is issued by the Appointing Authority.’

“Appointment order may be issued observing necessary formalities after verification of original certificates of the sponsored candidates in support of age, educational qualification, caste, special category & other eligibility criteria prescribed for the post,” the Commission said in a notice. 

“Appointment order of candidate selected under PwD category may be issued only after confirmation of genuineness of their disability from the Appellate Medical Board,” the notice added. 

It can be mentioned here that the main written examination for the post of Inspector of Legal Metrology & Laboratory Assistant-2017 was held on October 7 and 8, 2021 through Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) mode at different centres in the State.
