The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has announced the date of the main examination for the post of sub-inspector of Excise. 

"The Main Written Examination for the post of Sub Inspector of Excise-2019 will be held from December 6 to 8, 2021 through Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) mode at different examination centres across the State," the SSC said in a notification on Friday.

As per the programme, Paper I (Composite paper) comprising subjects like General English, Odia Language and General Studies will be held between 9.30 am and 11 am from December 6 to 8. 

Candidates will have to report at the examination centres at 8 am. 

"Candidates concerned are advised to download their Admission Letter in the link provided in the Home page (What's New) of the website of the Commission www.ossc.gov.in from December 1, 2021 onwards by logging-in their Application No. & Date of Birth to appear the examination in the venue on the date & time mentioned therein," the Commission said.

"Protocol of COVID-19 like use of sanitiser, social distancing, and wear of three-layer mask must be adhered to during examination," it added. 
In 2019, the OSSC had released a notification for filling up a total number of 34 vacancies of sub-inspector of Excise on a contractual basis under Excise Commissioner, Cuttack.
