The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released the admit card for the Preliminary Examination of the Combined Higher Secondary recruitment examination. The exam, scheduled for July 21, 2024, will fill 673 specialist posts. Candidates can download their admit cards from ossc.gov.in.

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released the admit card for the Preliminary Examination of the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) level or equivalent recruitment examination for specialist posts. 

The exam is scheduled for July 21, 2024.

Exam and Vacancy Details

Total Vacancies: 673 posts

The recruitment exam aims to assess candidates' eligibility for the following roles

  • Caretaker: 2 posts

  • Ayurvedic Assistant: 220 posts

  • Homeopathic Assistant: 216 posts

  • Unani Assistant: 7 posts

  • Junior Fisheries Technical Assistant: 212 posts

  • Amin: 16 posts

Age Limit

The age limit varies from post to post. Aspirants should refer to the official website for specific details.

Eligibility Criteria

All candidates must have a 10+2 degree in the science stream from recognized boards. However, for the post of Junior Fisheries Technical Assistant, candidates should have a degree in a fisheries vocational course and provide their educational qualification certificate when filling out the online form. 

Additionally, candidates for this post must know how to swim well.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three stages

Preliminary Examination: An OMR-based exam with 150 multiple-choice questions. Each wrong answer carries a 0.25 negative marking.

Main Written Examination: Technical exams based on different posts. Some tests may be similar for posts with the same minimum educational qualification.

Certificate Verification: Verification of certificates to ensure the authenticity of the candidates. Failing to provide valid documents will result in cancellation of recruitment.
