The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), a State-owned Power utility, has released an advertisement notification for recruitment of Junior Management Trainees in Electrical discipline on contractual basis.
“OPTCL is looking for young, promising and energetic aspirants with bright academic records to join the organisation as Junior Management Trainees in Electrical discipline for placement at various units across the State, preferably in KBK and other backward districts of the State,” the Corporation notification read.
A total of 40 vacancies has been notified by the Corporation including 12 for scheduled caste (SC) candidates (4 women) and 28 unreserved (9 women).
Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/Institution. For SC and PWD candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%.
Candidates must not be under 21 years of age and must not be above 32 years as on January 1, 2022. Relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per norms.
First year (Trainee) Rs 20,000, 2nd Year Rs 22,000, 3rd Year Rs 24,200, 4th Year Rs 26,620, 5th Year Rs 29,285, 6th Year Rs 32,215.
On completion of six years, they may be considered for appointment to the post of Junior Manager (Electrical) (Level:EE-1) on regular establishment in the Pay Matrix:- Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400 with Initial Basic Pay of Rs 44,900.

The unreserved and SEBC applicants will have to pay a fee of Rs 1000 whereas the application fee is Rs 500 for SC/ST and PwD candidates.
The selection process involves Computer Based Test (CBT) and Personal Interview.
