The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) is inviting applications in offline mode from eligible candidates for the engagement of Legal Consultant in its office in Cuttack on a contractual basis.
The application form along with instructions has been made available on the official website of the Commission at https://opsc.gov.in.
Eligibility condition:
Retired Judicial Officers in the rank of District/Additional Judge having experience are eligible to apply for the post.
"The applications should be addressed to Secretary, Odisha Public Service Commission, 19-Dr. PK Parija Road, Cuttack-753001 and reach the office of OPSC on or before 5.30 p.m. 21st of June 2022," the Commission said in a notice released today.
On engagement, the retired officer will avail consolidated remuneration in the prescribed structure attached to the Level in the Pay Matrix. While the remuneration for judicial officer of level 15, 16 and 17 is Rs 42,000 per month, it is Rs 30,000 for 11, 12, 13 and 14 levels.
Terms and conditions:
The above engagement shall be valid for a period of one year on contractual basis or till the post is filled up by a Law Officer in OPSC by direct recruitment whichever is earlier.
The engagement can be terminated at any point of time by the Competent Authority due to unsatisfactory performance by giving one month notice. On the contrary, if the engaged officer so desires to resign he may do so by giving one month's written notice to the authority competent.
Selection process:
Applications received within the due date will be scrutinised by a Selection Committee and the short-listed applicants will be required to appear before the Selection Committee for an interview and selection.
