Soon after clarifying that there will be no postponement of the Odisha Civil Services (OCS- Main) examination, the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released a comprehensive set of guidelines that needs to be strictly followed by the candidates.

The Commission's statement came in the backdrop of candidates seeking a postponement of the examination owing to the present Covid-19 situation in the State.

As per the schedule, the OCS examination 2020 will start from January 20 to February 6, 2022 (except on January 26 & February 5, 2022).

Apart from the OCS exam, the OPSC has also released guidelines for the smooth conduct of the Assistant Surgeon Examination which will be held on January 23, 2022.

In its latest notification, OPSC has released the following guidelines:

- Wearing face Mask (N95) is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without mask will not be allowed to enter the venue.

-Candidates will have to remove their masks for verification, whenever required by the examination functionaries.

-Candidates may carry his/her hand sanitizer (small size) in a transparent bottle. However, provisions have been made for sanitization of hands at each examination hall.

-Candidates must follow Covid-19 norms of social distancing as well as personal hygiene inside the examination hall as well as in the premises of the venue.

-The sitting arrangements have been made accordingly keeping in view the social distancing norms.

-In case a candidate develops Covid symptoms, he/she shall bring it to the notice of the Invigilator immediately. Isolation-cum-Examination hall has been arranged for such candidates.
