OPSC recruitment: Big opportunity for graduates, check details

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has published an employment notification for the recruitment of Statistical Officer posts in Group B category of Odisha Subordinate Statistics and Economics Services under Planning and Convergence Department.

The link for registration will be made available on the official website- www.opsc.gov.in from December 30, 2022. The last date for submission of the registered online application is January 30, 2023.

• Unreserved – 19 (6-w) posts 

• SEBC – 2 (2-w) posts

• Scheduled Caste – 5 (1-w) posts

• Scheduled Tribe – 7 (2-w) posts

Educational Qualification

A candidate must be a Graduate having Honours in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications, Physics, Economics, Applied Economics, Agricultural Economics, Sociology or Econometrics or having degree in Commerce with distinction.  

Age Limit

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 38 years as on the first day of January 2022 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1984 and not later that first January 2001. 

Examination Fee

The examination fee for all categories of candidates has been exempted.

Salary

Scale of Pay: Rs 44,900 in Level -10, Cell- 1 of the pay matrix as per ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness and other Allowances as may be sanctioned by government of Odisha from time to time.

Age Relaxation

• SEBC candidates: 5 years
• SC/ST/Women candidates: 10 years
• PwD: 15 years

Selection Process

• Written Exam – 400 marks

• Viva Voice Test – 100 marks
