The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released an important notice on Friday regarding Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Examination, 2021.

The Commission has invited application from eligible and interested candidates for recruitment to posts and services coming under the Odisha Civil Services (Group A & B) by admission through Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Exams. 

Candidates can register/re-register their names and make payment for the examination in the official website of the Commission www.opsc.gov.in from January 10 and February 9, 2022. 

February 18 is the last date for submission of the registered online application for the examination, the OPSC said in a notification on December 31.

As per the notice, the Commission looks to fill up a total vacancy of 405 positions which includes 50 posts of Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) group-A (junior branch). 

Eligibility:-

An applicant must be an Indian citizen who have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above 32 years as on January 1, 202`. The upper age limit is relaxed by five years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/women/ex-serviceman and by 10 years for PwDs with more than 40 percent permanent disability.

Qualification:-

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institute or university in any discipline. In addition, they must be able to read, write, and speak Odia.

Exam Fee:-

Candidates have to pay non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs 500. ST/SC and persons with disabilities (more than 40%) are exempted.

The OCS exam will be comprised in three steps: a preliminary exam, a main exam, and a personality test or interview. The candidates who will qualify in preliminary exam will be called by the Commission to appear in the main exam. Once qualified the main exam, the commission will call them for personality test or interview.
