OPSC Recruitment 2023: Apply for VAS/ AVAS by Feb 26

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has published the official notification for recruitment of Veterinary Assistant Surgeons/ Additional Veterinary Assistant Surgeons. 

The applictaion process is likely to commence on January 25 and the last date for the submission of the application form is February 26.

Total Vacancy: 539 posts

• UR Candidates: 56 posts

• SEBC Candidates: 94 posts

• SC Candidates: 161 posts

• ST Candidates: 228 posts

Age Limit

The age of candidate must be between the age of 21 to 38 years as on January 1, 2023.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc and A.H) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university, college, or institution in India or abroad.

Selection Process

Candidates will be chosen through a written examination, which carries a total of 800 marks. The exam duration is two hours and thirty minutes. It comprises two papers, namely Paper I and Paper II, each containing 200 questions and accounting for 400 marks.
