OPSC Recruitment 2022: Apply For 796 ASO Posts Now, Get All Details Here

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited application from eligible and interested candidates for recruitment to 796 posts of Assistant Section Officer in Group B of Odisha Secretariat Service under the State Home Department. 

The candidates selected for the posts (permanent) will be employed in the pay scale of Rs 35400 in Level 9 of Cell 1 as per the Pay Matrix under Rule 3 of ORSP Rules, 2017.

Vacancies:-

1. Unreserved - 447 (149 w)
2. SEBC - 62(21 w)
3. SC - 109 (36 w)
4. ST - 178 (59 w) 

Qualification:- A candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree from any recognised university and must have adequate knowledge in computer applications.

Exam Fee:- Candidates have to pay non-refundable fee of Rs 500. ST/SC and persons with disabilities (more than 40%) are exempted.

Method of Selection:- The competitive exam for the recruitment to ASO posts will be conducted as follows

1. Written test (Objective type questions)
2. Skill Test (Practical qualifying) 
3. Candidates who pass written test shall be called for skill test in computer test and one has to secure 40% of total marks in skill test to qualify. 

The OPSC has selected 33 zones of the State for conducting the examinations.
