OPSC Recruitment 2021: Apply For Group B Posts Under Fisheries And ARD Dept

Odisha Public Service Commission has come up with a fresh notification inviting applications  posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Class - 11 (Group - B) of Odisha Veterinary Service under Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department.

The link for registration/ re-registration and payment of examination fee shall be available from 18.06.2021 to 16.07.2021. The last date to apply for the OPSC recruitment is July 23.

Applications can be submitted for 351 posts of ‘Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in the Scale of Pay of Rs 44,900 in Level-10, Cell - I of the Pay Matrix provided under Rule -3 of the ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness and other Allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time’.

NOTE: The posts are temporary and likely to be permanent. 

Out of the total 351 number of vacancies, 14(05-w) vacancies are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (whose permanent disability is 40% and more), 11 vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen and 04 (01-w) vacancies are reserved for Sports persons. 

Age Limit for the OPSC Recruitment

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 (twenty one) years and must not be above 32 (thirty two) years - he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1989 and not later than 1st January 2000. 

The upper age limit prescribed above shall be relaxable by 5 (five) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Socially & Economically Backward Classes (SEBC), Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.), Women, Ex-Servicemen and by 10 (Ten) years for Persons with Disabilities whose permanent disability is 40% and more. Persons with Disabilities belonging to SEBC/ SC/ ST categories are eligible for age relaxation benefit of 15 years. 

Educational Qualification

A candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science or its equivalent from any recognized University in India or abroad and have registered himself/ herself under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970. 

Examination Fee

A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs 500. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disability (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee.
