The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has published a fresh advertisement to fill up 80 vacant posts of Assistant Director (Law) in Group-B of Odisha Secretariat service under the Home department.

The link for registration/re-registration and payment of examination fee will be made available on the OPSC website www.opsc.gov.in from November 26, 2021 to December 24, 2021. The last date for submission of registered online application is December 31, 2021.

Vacancy Position:

UR – 35 (12 women)

SEBC- 10 (3 women)
SC -15 (5 women)
ST- 20 (7 women)

Salary: 

Selected candidates will draw salary in the pay scale of Rs 44,900 in Level 10, Cell -1 of Pay Matrix of ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness and other Allowances as may be sanctioned by the Odisha government from time to time.

Educational Qualification: 

A candidate must have possessed Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University and have knowledge in Computer Application on the date of application. 

Age:

A candidate must have attained the age of 23 years and must not be above the age of 35 years as on the first day of January, 2021. Relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to SEBC, SC, ST, women and ex-serviceman and persons with disabilities as per government guidelines. 

Examination Fee: 

A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs 500 only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disability (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee.

How to Apply: 

Candidates must apply online through the concerned website of the OPSC http://opsc.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and liable to be summarily rejected. 

Method of Selection: 

The selection will be based on Written Examination (360 marks), Skill Test in Computer Application (Practical) (40 marks) and Viva Voce Test (50 marks). 

Place of Examination:  

The Written Examination will be held in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Request for change of examination centre will not be entertained.
