The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Monday announced the postponement of various recruitment interviews and document verification programme scheduled this month in view of the rapid rise in the number of Covid-19 infections in the State.  

In a short notice today, the Commission said the interview for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Journalism & Mass Communication scheduled to be conducted from January 10 to 13 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. 

“It is for information of all concerned that, the interview scheduled on 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th January -2022 for the post of Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor in the discipline of Journalism & Mass Communication is postponed due to unavoidable circumstances,” the notice read.

The notice added that the date of interview will be rescheduled in due course.

The Commission has also deferred the interview scheduled on January 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the discipline of Home Science and said the date of interview will be rescheduled in due course.

Moreover, the Commission announced that the “document verification for the posts of Assistant Professor in English and Physics has been postponed until further orders with effect from January 11, 2022, due to unforeseen factors.”
