The registration and re-registration window for the mega recruitment drive announced by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to fill up 606 vacancies of assistant professors (Stage-I) in Group-A of Odisha Education Service (OES) is going to end soon.

As per the official notification, the link for registration and re-registration, which was activated on October 26, will be available till November 25. The last date for submission of registered applications is December 3.

Interested candidates can apply for the vacancies through online mode by login to the website of the OPSC, http://opsc.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted.

According to the notification, the selected candidates will be appointed in different disciplines in Group A of Odisha Education Service (OES) of government degree colleges under the Higher Education Department. 

Selected candidates will draw a salary in the Scale of Pay - Cell-I of Level-10 of the Pay matrix under ORSP (CT) Rules, 2019 with usual dearness and other allowances as admissible by the government from time to time.

In order to be eligible for the posts, a candidate must possess master's degree, with at least 55% of marks (50% for SC/ST, SEBC & PwD categories), qualify National Eligibility Test (NET) or hold Ph.D degree in the concerned/relevant/ allied subject from an Indian University or a Foreign University.

Applicants who intend to apply for the posts must not be above 45 years of age and under 21 years of age on the last date of submission of the online application (03.12.2021). However, relaxable as per norms will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/ SEBC/women and persons with disabilities categories.

Applicants need to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.400 only. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are exempted from payment of fee.   

The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of merit to be judged by performance in interview of eligible shortlisted candidates.
