The online application process is currently underway for the recruitment to the posts of Assistant Section Officers (ASOs) in Group-B of Odisha Secretariat Service through the official website of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC)-www.opsc.gov.in. The posts are permanent in nature.
The link for registration/re-registration and payment of examination fee which was opened on January 20, 2022 is going to close tomorrow (February 19, 2022, 11.59 pm).
The submission of registered online application can be done through the official website till February 25, 2022 (11.59 pm).
A total of 796 (265 women) posts of ASO will be filled up through the mega recruitment drive. The ASO will draw a monthly salary in the scale of pay of Rs 35,400 in Level 9, Cell 1 as per the Pay Matrix provided under Rule- 3 of ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness and other Allowances.
The OPSC, which conducts the recruitment drive, had earlier issued a corrigendum enhancing upper age limit of applicants for the job from 32 years to 38 years. The State Cabinet had earlier approved increasing the upper age limit to 38 years for three years- 2021, 2022 and 2023.
A candidate who possesses a Bachelor's Degree from any recognised university and have adequate knowledge in computer applications can apply for the posts of ASO.
