The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has recently released the schedule for the much-awaited examination for the recruitment of 796 posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in Group-B of the Odisha Secretariat Service.

As per the schedule, ASO written examination will be held on August 21, 2022 at different educational institutions in 30 districts and three sub-divisions in the State. However, the date of the examination is clashing with that of the main examination for the post of sub-inspector of traffic-2021.

Candidates who are going to appear for both the examinations want the authorities to advance or postpone the examinations to avoid the clash and help them write both the examinations. Some candidates took to microblogging site Twitter to voice their concern.

"Abhay sir plz change the exam date of SI traffic because on that day OPSC ASO exam is going to be held. secondly CDI PET and Excise SI main written on same date. #ossc (sic)," wrote a Twitter user. Abhay is the chairman of Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).

"As per the new exam schedule of OSSC Sub-Inspector Traffic (2021) which will be held on dt-21/08/2022. Unfortunately, on the same date of OPSC ASO exam date i.e. on 21/08/2022.  So, kindly change the exam date (sic)," wrote another aspirant.

A third user wrote, "Sir please take steps to change the exam date of SI OF TRAFIC because on that scheduled date OPSC ASO exam is going be held. Sir please consider the issue for the benefit of the aspirants."

"In the recently published Calendar by OSSC for the month of July & August, the exam date of S.I of traffic is on 21.08.2022 in the same day OPSC ASO exam is also going to happen. So, please Sir kindly change (Prepone/Postpone) the date of S.I of traffic," wrote another user.
