The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Friday issued an advertisement, inviting applications from prospective candidates for recruitment as Ayurvedic Medical Officer.

As per the OPSC advertisement, 116 posts of Ayurvedic Medical Officer in the rank of Group B under Health and Family Welfare department will be filled up. The pay scale for the posts is Rs 44900 in level 10, Cell 1 of the pay matrix as per ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual dearness and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Odisha government from time to time.

Educational Qualification

A candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S) or equivalent degree from an university or institution recognised by Central Council of Indian Medicine. He/she must have registered under the Odisha State Council of Ayurvedic Medicines.

Method Of Selection

The selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of written test. The written examination shall comprise of two papers carrying 100 marks each with duration of one and half hours for each paper.

The questions will be as per the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) curriculum. There shall be no negative marking for wrong response.
