OPSC announces special drive recruitment for this category of candidates

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has issued an advertisement for a special drive for recruitment for SC and ST candidates to the posts of public prosecutor (Group A) in the state prosecution service under home department.

The prospective candidates can apply online on the official OPSC website from November 7 for recruitment to six posts of public prosecutor.

As per the OPSC advertisement, the pay scale for the post is Rs 67,700- 2,08,700 in level 13 of the pay matrix under ORSP rules, 2017 with usual dearness allowance as may be sanctioned by the government of Odisha from time to time.

Vacancies with reservation position

1. Scheduled Caste (SC): 2 Vacancies (1 women)

2. Scheduled Tribe (ST): 4 Vacancies (1 women)

Other details

In case of non-availability of eligible/suitable women candidate (s), the unfulfilled vacancies shall be filled up by the eligible/suitable male candidate (s) of the same category. The exchange of reservation between SC and ST will not be considered.

Age

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have completed the age of 45 years on the first day of January 2022, he/ she must have been born not earlier than January 2, 1977 and not later than January 1, 2001 (inclusive of age relaxation).

Place of examination

The written examination will be held at Cuttack. It may also be held at Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Berhampur, Sambalpur depending on the number of candidates from the respective zones.
