The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has announced a vacancy of more than 3600 Apprentice posts under Apprentices Act 1961 (as amended from time to time). 

Interested and eligible canidates may apply for the ONGC jobs by visiting the official website, ongcindia.com. While the application process has already begun from April 27, the last date for application submission is May 15, 2022.

Through the recruitment drive, ONGC is likely to fill a total of 3614 vacancies, including 1434 in the Western Sector, 744 in the Eastern Sector, 694 in the Southern Sector, 305 in the Mumbai Sector, 228 in the Central Sector and 209 in the Northern Sector.

ONGC recruitment 2022 vacancy details

Age Limit: The minimum age to apply is 18 years. Candidates applying for the positions should not be more than 24 years (as on May 15). To say, the date of birth of the candidates should between 15.05.1998 and 15.05.2004.

Selection Procedure

Selections for engagement of Apprentices would be based on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and Merit drawn. In case of a similar number in merit, a person with higher age would be considered. 

No canvassing or influencing would be acceptable at any time and may render for non-consideration. Reservation of positions will be followed as per Government of India Policy on SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories, as applicable for the engagement of Apprentices under The Apprentices Act, 1961 as amended.

Important to Note

- ONGC shall have no obligation to offer regular employment to Apprentices during and/or after the completion of the apprenticeship period. After successful completion of Apprenticeship period, candidates shall be relieved from the respective work area.

- Candidates can apply for one Trade Code ONLY. Candidates applying for more than one Trade Code will not be considered for any post and their applications will be summarily rejected. 

- Only one mobile number and one email ID can be used for applying for the training. The same mobile number and email ID cannot be used by any other candidate for filling online application for this notification.

- The service terms and conditions of the apprentices shall be governed by The Apprentices Act, 1961and Rules 1992 as amended from time to time.
