The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has made all the preparations for the smooth conduct of the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2021 Phase 2 examination today.

Ramashis Hazra, president of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) said that the Board has made adequate arrangements for the conduct of the OSSTET exam and more than 72000 students will write the test.

"The OSSTET exam will be conducted in 338 centres and 40 nodal centres have been set up for the same. The exam will be held in 2 sittings - 1st sitting from 9 am to 11:30 am and 2nd sitting from 1 pm to 3:30 pm," informed board president Hazra.

A total of 72,280 candidates will appear for the exam. As many as 68, 742 candidates are scheduled to appear in the paper 1 (first sitting) and 3538 candidates in paper II (second sitting), the BSE official said.

All districts of Odisha have exam centres. Apart from the squads formed by the DEOs and the Board, eight special squads have been formed for the exam, added Hazra.

He had earlier said that the candidates would be checked with thermal scanner and provision for hand sanitiser, isolation room for emergencies and other measures made available at every examination centre.
