Odisha Police SI recruitment to be held in OMR based format; check exam schedule and other details

The Odisha Police Recruitment Board has announced the dates for the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination.

As per the latest notification issued by the board, the recruitment examination will be conducted on March 8 and 9, 2025. The examination will be held to fill 933 vacancies, along with other posts under the SI rank.

The exam will be conducted in various district centers across Odisha in OMR-based format. 

Candidates appearing for the exam have been advised to download their admit cards from the official Odisha Police website before the examination date.

The Odisha Police Recruitment Board will oversee the examination process to ensure smooth conduct. 

As per the official notification, 609 posts of Sub-Inspectors, 253 posts of Sub Inspectors (Armed), 47 posts of Station Officer (Fire) and 24 posts of Assistant Jailor under Home Department of Odisha Government will be filled up in the recruitment drive.

While persons with disability were not eligible for recruitment to the above posts, women and transgender candidates were eligible to apply for posts of SI of Police and Assistant Jailor. However, they were declared ineligible for the post of SI of Police (Armed) and Station Officer in Fire Service.

Scale Of Pay: 

Pay band of Rs 9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs 4200 i.e Rs 35,400 in the Cell 1 of level 9 of pay matrix of ORSP 2017.
