The Odisha Police has officially released the detailed notification for the recruitment of Sepoy/Constable positions in various battalions. 

Interested candidates can apply for Constable vacancies on the official website, odishapolice.gov.in, until the application deadline of October 13.

Odisha Police Recruitment Details

Total Vacancy: 1360 posts

  • UR Candidates: 915 posts

  • SEBC Candidates: 6 posts

  • SC Candidates: 189 posts

  • ST Candidates: 250 posts

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 23 years old as of January 1, 2024. Upper age limit relaxations apply for reserved categories.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed the Class 10 (Matriculation) examination from the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha or an equivalent board.

Citizenship and Health 

Applicants must be Indian citizens with good character and sound health, free from organic defects and physical deformities.

Marital Status

Candidates should not have more than one living spouse, with some exemptions possible under personal law.

Language Proficiency

Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write in Odia, having passed the Matriculation examination with Odia as a subject.

Application Fee

There is no application fee for this recruitment drive.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through four stages:

  • Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE)

  • Measurement of Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test

  • Driving Test

  • Medical Examination

  • Examination Details

The CBRE will consist of 100 objective-type questions, worth 100 marks, with a duration of two hours. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will apply for incorrect answers, while no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

Important Note: Candidates can only apply to one battalion, and this choice cannot be changed after submission.
