The Centre for Child Rights of the National Law University Odisha (NLUO) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Research Coordinator.

The Research Coordinator will be recruited for the project, the study on ‘Social Protection of Women Migrant Workers’ in the State of Odisha.

The aim of the study is to understand the situation and causes of women migration, to explore the implications of their migration economic benefits, social security and safety risks, and to identify issues for policy action to prevent distress migration.

The study will conduct field survey in twelve migration prone districts of Odisha namely Cuttack, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Puri, Rayagada, Nabarangapur and Sundargarh.

As many as 5000 women migrant workers in selected Gram Panchayats across the above- mentioned districts- will be interviewed through household survey to gather information of their personal and family socio-economic status, migration particulars, work and wages, issues and challenges of their migration, impact of Covid pandemic on their migration, and their social protection awareness, the notification read.

Qualification and Other Criteria:

-Post Graduate in Law or in any Social Sciences

- Well conversant in English and Computer applications

- Expertise in SPSS or R package will be given preference

- Commanding communication and writing skill in English

- Applicant shall not have completed 45 years of age on the last date of submission of application.

Duration of the project: 12 months

Monthly remuneration: Rs.15,000 per month (consolidated)

“Duly filled in application form along with the relevant supporting documents & CV shall be sent to Registrar, National Law University Odisha, Cuttack, Kathjodi Campus, CDA, Cuttack -753015 with superscription ‘Application of the Post of Research Coordinator in Centre for Child Rights’ . The last date of submission or receipt of application is 20th September 2021,” it added.
