Konkan Railway Recruitment: Apply for Apprentice posts before Dec 10

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) is accepting applications for Apprentice posts. 

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official website, konkanrailway.com. 

The deadline for receiving online applications for training under NATS is December 10, 2023.

• Civil Engineering: 30 posts

• Electrical Engineering: 20 posts

• Electronics Engineering: 10 posts

• Mechanical Engineering: 20 posts

• Diploma (Civil): 30 posts

• Diploma (Electrical): 20 posts

• Diploma (Electronics): 10 posts

• Diploma (Mechanical): 20 posts

• General Stream Graduates: 30 posts

Educational Qualification

For Graduate Apprentices, candidates should hold a recognized Engineering degree in the specified fields from an AICTE-approved University. As for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices, candidates must possess a diploma in the designated fields from a University or Institution acknowledged by the Central/State Government Technical Education Board or University.

Age Limit

Candidates should fall within the age bracket of 18 to 25 years as of September 1, 2023.

Selection Process

For each category, the cumulative marks obtained in all years/semesters will be added to calculate the aggregate percentage, and a merit list will be generated accordingly. 

There will be no rounding off of marks, and no specific weightage will be assigned to any particular semester or year.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs. 100 for all candidates, with exemptions for individuals from specific categories such as SC, ST, Female, minorities, and Economically Weaker Sections.

Stipend

The stipend for apprentices varies based on their category. For Graduate Apprentices, the stipend is Rs. 9000 per month, while Technician (Diploma) Apprentices receive Rs. 8000 per month.
