Join Indian Army: Apply now for Group C posts before January 17, 2025

The Indian Army has invited applications for Group C vacancies.

Candidates interested to apply for the posts have to send their applications to respective bases through ordinary posts.

The application process is underway and the last date to submit the application form is January 17, 2025.

• Vehicle Mechanic: 100 posts

• Tradesman Mate: 230 posts

• Skilled Fitter: 50 posts

• Highly Skilled Electrician: 63 posts

• Fireman: 36 posts

• Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 56 posts

• Pharmacist: 1 post

Educational Qualification

To be eligible to apply for the post, candidates must have passed Class 10th, Class 12th, Diploma, ITI or Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized University or Institute.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years, except for the position of Fire Engine Driver, for which the age limit is 18 to 30 years.

Physical Requirements

For the positions of Fireman and Fire Engine Driver, the physical measurements and fitness tests are as follows:

Minimum Physical Measurements

Height (without shoes): 165 cm (a concession of 2.5 cm in height is allowed for members of Scheduled Tribes)

Chest (unexpanded): 81.5 cm

Chest (on expansion): 85 cm

Weight: 50 kg

Fitness/Endurance Test

• Carrying a person weighing 63.5 kg over a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds

• Clearing a 2.7-meter-wide ditch, landing on both feet (long jump)

• Climbing a vertical rope of 3 meters using hands and feet
