ITBP Recruitment: Apply for 186 constable, head constable posts; check eligibility details

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has invited online applications from candidates for filling up of 186 posts of Constable and Head Constable (Motor Mechanic).

Interested candidates can apply for these vacancies from October 29. Candidates are advised to apply for the post on or before November 27 on recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed 10th/12th/ITI from recognised Board and Institution.

Candidate should have certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognised institution or training institute with 3 years of practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop.

Age Limit

The age of candidates should be between 18-25 years of age on November 27, 2022.

Pay Scale

• Head Constable: Level 4 in pay matrix, Rs 25,500 – Rs 81,100 as per 7th CPC
• Constable: Level 3 in pay matrix, Rs 21,700 – Rs 69,100 as per 7th CPC

Eligibility

Height: 

• For others & UT: 170 cm
• For Candidates falling into categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the State of Assa, Himachal Pradesh & Kashmir Region of UT Jammu & Kashmir & UT Ladakh: 165 cm
• For NE States: 162.5 cm
• For ST of NE States & Left Wing Extremism Effected Districts: 160 cm
• For ST other than NE States& Left Wing Extremism Effected Districts: 162.5 cm

Chest:

• For Others & UT: Unexpanded 80 cm; Expanded 85 cm
• For candidates falling into categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, and candidates belonging to the State of Assam, Himachal Pradesh & Kashmir Region of UT Jammu & Kashmir & UT Ladakh: Unexpanded 78 cm; Expanded 83 cm
• For NE States: Unexpanded 77 cm; Expanded 82 cm
• For ST of NE States & Left Wing Extremism Effected Districts: Unexpanded 76 cm; Expanded 81 cm

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, Written Test, Practical Test Verification of Documents,

Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME).
