The National Remote Sensing Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO has released a recruitment notification seeking applications from interested and eligible candidates for JRF, RA and Research Scientist posts. 

Candidates can apply online by visiting the official site of NRSC, nrsc.gov.in. A total of 55 posts will be filled up through the recruitment drive.

Posts and Educational Qualification

Junior Research Fellow: 12 Posts

ME / M.Tech in Remote Sensing / GIS / Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Geomatics / Geospatial Technology / Spatial Information Technology With B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or) MSc in Agriculture.

Research Scientist: 41 Posts

Research Scientist: ME / M.Tech in Remote Sensing / GIS / Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Geomatics / Geospatial Technology / Spatial Information Technology.

Research Associate: 2 Posts

PhD in Botany/ Ecology/Forestry/ Environmental Sciences / Wild life biology With MSc & BSc in related subjects.

The selected candidates are likely to be posted at NRSC - Earth Station, Shadnagar campus, Rangareddy District, Telangana State or at NRSC, Balanagar, Hyderabad. However, NRSC reserves the right to post the candidates anywhere in India as and when required.

Note: The Positions advertised are purely on temporary basis for a period of one year which can be further extended based on the performance of the candidate in the periodical reviews, for a maximum period of five years (for JRF/RS) and three years (for RA) in total or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier. 

Candidates appointed against above posts shall not have any claim or right for regular appointment against any posts in NRSC/ ISRO /Department of Space and the services of the appointed candidates are liable to be terminated without any notice and without assigning any reasons thereof, read the official notification.
